Octavi - IFR-1

The Octavi IFR-1 is a simple, intuitive and complete interface that lets you control all major instruments in a flight simulator. It packs the functionality of an entire home cockpit into an affordable, compact device. The patented device features a high quality dual-axis rotary knob like the ones found in real aircraft avionics. A total of eight context mode buttons and eleven function buttons are available to select and control instruments like a Garmin GNS530/430 or the autopilot. The buttons are implemented in a coated silicone keypad, offering precise feel and whisper-quiet keystrokes. Octavi's casing is made by precision engineered, high grade injection molding.

How it works:
The Octavi IFR-1 lets you control the radios, VOR receivers, the FMS devices, the autopilot and the transponder in its standard configuration. Once you have selected an instrument using the context buttons, you can use the rotary knob and the function buttons to manipulate that instrument. The selected button is highlighted to indicate the activated instrument.

In each mode, the main function of the dual-axis rotary knob is controlling a specific item, for instance frequencies, transponder codes and autopilot variables. As an extra, "shift" functions are available for each mode - this enables you to control headings, courses, the altimeter QNH and the transponder mode from Octavi, too. The Octavi IFR-1 is a plug-and-play USB device that requires no driver installation. Plug it in, install the plug-in for your flight simulator and take off!

• Plug-in versions are available for MSFS & XP
• If you're using Prepar3D or FSX, or if you're using highly customized or complex aircraft, you can use Octavi with MobiFlight. MobiFlight is a free open-source tool that lets you choose which of Octavi's buttons controls which function freely.
• Flight simmers already use MobiFlight for a wide range of aircraft and setups. Due to the large community behind MobiFlight, configurations for many custom aircraft are easily available.
